    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded salt for feed utilizing table salt recovered from food processing residue, having high strength, and inhibited from formation of peroxide; and to provide a method for producing the molded salt for feed.SOLUTION: The molded salt for feed is obtained by: heating a salt composition comprising table salt separated from food processing residue, and crude protein; and compressing and solidifying the heated salt composition. The molded salt for feed contains ≥10 meq/kg of organic oxidation-reduction substance as an oxidation-reduction equivalent weight, and contains 0.1-10 wt.% of the crude protein. The method for producing a molded salt for feed comprises: heating a salt composition to 50-110°C before being charged in a mold, or heating the salt composition to 50-110°C after being charged; thereafter compressing and solidifying the composition under the pressure of 0.1-10 kg/cm(0.01-1 MPa); and molding the solidified composition.
