摘要： An iron-base powder mixture containing an iron-base powder, a lubricant having been fused and adhered to the iron-base powder, a powder for an alloy adhered to the iron-base powder through the lubricant, and a free lubricant powder, characterized in that one or more of the above iron-base powder, the above lubricant having been fused and adhered to the iron-base powder, the above free lubricant powder, and the above powder for an alloy have a surface which is coated with an organosiloxane with a covering percentage of 80 % or more; and a method for producing the iron-base powder mixture. The iron-base powder mixture is excellent in flowability and formability, and also is reduced in the temperature dependency of flowability and green density. It is preferred that the organosiloxane has a phenyl group, the lubricant having been fused and adhered to the iron-base powder is a co-molten product of a calcium soap with a lithium soap or a co-molten product of a calcium soap with an amide lubricant, and the free lubricant is a lithium soap or a mixed powder of an amide lubricant with a poly(methyl methacrylate) powder.

摘要： A method for producing a high density formed product from an iron-based powder composition wherein the iron-based powder composition is filled in a mold having a lubricating agent adhered to its surface through electrification and then formed by pressing the powder composition at a predetermined forming temperature, characterized in that the lubricating agent comprises a lubricant having a melting point higher than the forming temperature in an amount of 0.5 to 80 mass % and a lubricant having a melting point equal to or lower than the forming temperature in a residual amount; an iron-based powder composition which contains an iron-based powder, a lubricating agent for powder forming and graphite, characterized in that the lubricating agent comprises a lubricant having a melting point higher than the forming temperature in an amount of 10 to 75 mass % and a lubricant having a melting point equal to or lower than the forming temperature in a residual amount and the composition contains the graphite in an amount of 0.5 mass % or less based on the total amount of the composition; and a method for producing a sintered compact comprising sintering the formed product. The method can be employed for producing a formed product having a high density in one pressure forming operation.

摘要： A lubricant for die lubrication, characterized in that it is a mixed powder of two or more lubricants having a melting point higher than a predetermined temperature of pressing; and a method for producing a high density product of forming of an iron base powder, which comprises providing a die of room temperature or preheated to a predetermined temperature, charging the above lubricant for die lubrication, attaching the charged lubricant to the wall of the die by introducing it into the die through spraying, introducing an iron base mixed powder containing a lubricant into the die having the above lubricant attached thereto, and molding the powder at room temperature or the predetermined temperature. The above two or more lubricants are preferably selected form among metal soaps, amide type waxes, polyamides, polyethylenes, polypropylenes, acrylic ester polymers, methacrylic ester polymers, fluororesins and laminated lubricants. The method can be employed for producing a high density formed product by one time operation of pressing.

摘要： Iron powder and iron-base powder mixture for powder metallurgy, which can provide sinters excellent in machinability and wear resistance. The iron powder contains 0.03-0.3 wt.% boron, at most 0.07 wt.% chromium, less than 0.3 wt.% manganese, and the balance consisting of iron and unavoidable impurities, and has an intensity ratio of boron to iron of at least 0.05 in the spectrum of the powder surface as determined by Auger electron spectroscopy. The powder serves to increase the amount of graphite remaining in sinters to thereby improve the machinability and wear resistance thereof. Another iron powder is prepared by adding sulfur, selenium, tellurium, molybdenum or the like to the above powder. These powders are mixed with MoO3 or WO3 powder to develop a so-called iron-base powder mixture. It is produced by water-atomizing the above powders while adjusting the oxygen content of molten steel to 100 ppm or below.

摘要： A magnetite-iron based composite powder includes magnetite with a ratio of X-ray diffraction intensity to that of alpha-Fe of about 0.001 to about 50 and has an average primary particle size of about 0.1 to about 10 mum. The composite powder can highly dehalogenate organic halogen compounds and exhibits satisfactory absorption power of high frequency electromagnetic waves after molding. An ultrafine nonferrous inorganic compound powder may adhere to the surface of the composite powder, or at least the composite powder may adhere to the surfaces of small particles of a nonferrous inorganic compound to thereby yield a composite powder composition. The composite powder can be produced by partial reduction of a material powder containing a hematite based powder or by complete reduction and subsequent partial oxidation of the material powder.
