    • PURPOSE:To shorten a period of pipeline-laying construction, by a method wherein a series of processes ranging from tack-welding of standard length pipes to pushing-out of a laid pipe are continuously constructed, in a widened channel at the end part of a pipeline-laying channel. CONSTITUTION:An assembling line 4, a lengthening line 5 and a laying line 6 are placed in that order side by side on a working floor 3 on the bottom of a widened channel 2 constructed at the end part of a pipeline-laying channel 1. After standard length pipes 10 carried in the widened channel 2 are placed on roller bearing units at the assembling line 4 and are sent out, they are turned to a specified length pipe by setting a bevel groove between the pipes 10 to each other and by tack-welding, and the specified length pipe is shifted to the lengthening line 5. Other pipes 10 are progressively sent one after another to the assembling line 4 being vacant, the bevel groove is set to each other and tack-welding is carried out. The specified length pipe is regularly welded at the lengthening line 5 by automatic welding equipment prepared. Processes wherein a lengthened pipe 11 is shifted to the laying line 6 and is welded to the end of a laid pipe 12, and weld inspection, painting and adjustment are carried out, following which the laid pipe 12 on roller bearing units is pushed in the pipeline- laying channel 1 by a jack, are continuously constructed and a pipeline can be efficiently laid down.

    • PURPOSE:To bring a box body outer surface in temporary connection with a water stopping member by pressure welding, so as to be free from any restriction of the scale of a dock by stretching a back board from the bottom plate and the side plate of one side box body connecting end portion out of 2 box bodies connecting each other along connecting end outer surface of the other box body, attaching a water stopping member to an inner surface, bringing the two box bodies in mutual contact so as to add the load of one box body to the other. CONSTITUTION:A back board 8 is stretched to the outside of the bottom portion 6 and the side plate 7 of one-side connecting end portion of floating box bodies 1a, 1b. A water stopping member 9 made of belt-like rubber elastic body is attached to the inner surface of the box body. Next, a connecting end 3 having the back board 8 of one floating box body 1b extended therefrom is brought in contact with a connecting end 3 of the other floating box body 1a having no back board 8 extended therefrom. Further, ballast water 12 is poured into the buoyancy space 5 of the floating box body 1a, both box bodies are brought in temporary contact with each other by pressure welding, with the contact end portions kept dry. Thereby the floating box bodies can be enlarged in their sizes without the restriction of the scale of a dock and the transportation condition or the like.

    • PURPOSE: To facilitate jointing work with high accuracy and strength by matching the faces through jointing groove and key of respective float then temporarily securing PC steel member thereafter placing concrete on the jointing face and stretching PC steel member.
      CONSTITUTION: A jointing groove 5 and key 6 are formed at the lower portion of respective joint face of concrete float then while regulating the buoyancy, said groove and key 5, 6 are fitted and pressure contacted to match the faces. Then PC steel member 13 is passed through the joint face of respective float and resin is injected to secure temporarily. Thereafter, the iron rods projecting from the joint face are jointed to place concrete 18 and PC steel member 13 is stretched and jointed. Consequently, positioning of both floats can be performed easily with high accuracy while the strength is increased through stretching of PC steel member after placing of concrete.

    • PURPOSE: To reliably secure a platform to the bottom of the sea when a storage tank is empty and to perform a thermal insulation by virtue of sand ballast, by a method wherein the lower end of the storage tank is built as a double bottom, an outer periphery is covered with sand ballast, and a cover is placed over the upper end to erect pillars.
      CONSTITUTION: An off-shore platform 10 has a squre outer peripheral wall 11a, and consists of an underwater structure 11 and pillars 12, emerging from the sea surfaces and a deck 13 secured to the pillars 12. The main bottom part of the underwater structure 11 is of a double shell bottom 14, and has the properties to insulate heat and isolate water. A reinforced concrete side wall 16 of the storage tank 15 emerges from the double bottom 14. A steel sheet lining 31 is applied to the inner wall of each storage tank 15 through the medium of an insulating material 30. An open part between the upper end of the square outer peripheral wall 11a and a storage tank cover 17 is covered with sand ballast chamber cover 19 to form sand ballast chambers 21 at the lower end of the square outer peripheral wall 11a and around the double bottom 14. Even if the storage tank 15 becomes completely empty, the sand ballast causes the platform to be reliably secured to the bottom of the sea.
