    • The invention relates to a method and entity that allow for saving of uplink bandwidth in connection with peer-to-peer sharing in a wireless communication system. A caching entity, called a reverse cache, intercepts a point-to-point connection between a mobile network user plane gateway and a wireless user equipment running a peer-to-peer application. The reverse cache caches content loaded to the peer-to-peer application and stores information indicative of the wireless user equipment to which the cached content is loaded. A request on the point-to-point connection for delivery of a first content from the wireless user equipment is intercepted by the reverse cache. When the requested first content is cached in the reverse cache along with information indicating that the requested first content has been loaded to the wireless user equipment, the reverse cache responds by delivering the requested first content, without involving the wireless user equipment.

    • A method and apparatus for sending user plane traffic via a node located between a base station and a Serving Gateway in a mobile telecommunications network. The base station receives a message containing tunneling protocol information identifying the Serving Gateway. It sends a second message towards the node, the second message including tunneling protocol information identifying the base station and the Serving Gateway. The base station receives a third message from the node, the third message including tunneling protocol information for the base station to use towards the node, and tunneling protocol information for the Serving Gateway to use towards the node. A fourth message is sent, which includes tunneling protocol information for the Serving Gateway to use towards the node. User plane traffic can then be sent between the base station and the Serving Gateway via the node.

The receiving network node (100) controls caching of information in a wireless communications network (1) comprising the receiving network node (100) and a transmitting network node (200). The receiving network node (100) is capable of serving, on one or more radio bearers, one or more UEs (2), located in the wireless communications network (1). The transceiver (110) is configured to receive a configuration message, from the transmitting network node (200), the configuration message including a caching indicator associated with a radio bearer for a UE (2). The identifier identifies a cache session in the network node. The cache session is associated with a play-out for a media stream to the user equipment via a source base station serving the user equipment in the source cell. The network node identifies (705) the cache session as pertaining to the user equipment subject to said handover, by means of the received identifier. The network node then continues (708) the identified cache session via a target base station serving the target cell, when the handover of the user equipment from the source cell to the target cell has been performed.
