    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict a temperature rise of a double tube because of heat conduction from a high-temperature fluid and at the same time prevent a damage because of vibrations, by arranging a projection to face to a temperature pocket at the inside of an area which is the inside of an outer tube of a protecting tube and the outside of an inner tube. SOLUTION: A thermometer pocket vibration isolation 14 of a cylindrical projection of a height L of approximately 20 mm is set at a position inside of protecting tubes 11, 12, 13 and outside of a liner 5 by approximately 60-150 mm. A shift of a thermometer pocket 10 because of vibrations of a high-temperature internal fluid 4 is supported by the vibration isolation 14. The thermometer pocket is reduced in amount of bend, and a stress brought about at a fixed part of the thermometer pocket 10 is decreased to not larger than a stress breaking the fixed part of the thermometer pocket 10. The vibration isolation 14 can support the thermometer pocket 10 on a plane and therefore, a stress concentration at a contact part when the vibration isolation 14 comes in touch or collides with the thermometer pocket 10 is prevented. Moreover, a temperature rise at a cap 8 and a pressure-resisting part of a washer 9 can be restricted when the protecting tubes 11, 12, 13 are enhanced in rigidity and the thermometer pocket 10 is reduced in sectional area.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate unevenness on a cutting surface in the order of magnitude of several mums irrespective of entry of an NC command value by embedding an electric heater in an end mill, allowing the end mill to prevent heat and expand with feeding of current, or otherwise to shrink with shutting-off of the current, and thereby moving the plane of the cutting surface up and down finely. CONSTITUTION:A hole is bored in the center of an end mill 4, and an electric heater 3 is incorporated in it. The end mill 4 can be expanded finely by supplying current to this electric heater 3 from an electric adjuster 2, or can be shrunk by shutting off the current, so that minute unevenness on the surface can be eliminated by controlling the amperage properly in plane machining which requires preciseness. That is, current is fed to the electric heater 3 to allow it to generated heat, and the end mill 4 is expanded, and thereafter the amperage to the end mill is lessened simultaneously with start of machining, and thereby the shrinkage of end mill is offset with expansion due to heat emission from the spindle, heat emission with machining, etc.. Thus a plane with high precision is achieved.

    • PURPOSE:To enable minimization of T/G support, simplification of an indoor layout, and piping and equipment related to a condenser, by placing a hotwell separately as a condensate tank and by connecting a condenser and the hotwell with a piping and a pump. CONSTITUTION:A condenser 1 is placed under a turbine 2 and a condensate ditch 9 is provided at the lowermost part of the condenser. The condensate tank 3 has a constitution being connected to the condensate ditch 9 by a piping 10 and a pump 11. A steam discharged from the turbine 2 heats up a feed water through a feed water heater 6, moves to a cooling pipe 7 and arrives at the bottom of the condenser 1 after being cooled down and condensed to water. The bottom surface of the condenser 1 is inclined for the condensate to flow into the ditch 9. The condensate stored in the ditch 9 is sucked to the condensate tank 3 by the pump 11 connected with the piping 10. A hotwell which store the condensate temporarily, is used as the condensate tank 3 separated from the condenser 1, and is connected to the condenser 1 by the pump 11. As the result, the condenser 1 can have a structure as lower as a height of the hotwell therefore a smaller sized T/G support can be applied.

    • PURPOSE:To permit easy working and to improve mass productivity and economic efficiency by forming the end plate part of a scroll of a casting and scroll lap parts of a spiral strip and molding integrally said parts by insert casting. CONSTITUTION:The scroll lap member 12 is formed to the spiral strip separately by plastic working or other forming method and is set in a casting mold after the member is subjected to copper plating, thin plating, etc. in order to strengthen the binding force of the casting. The one spiral side of the member 12 is positioned into a casting drag 10 via a shell mold 13 and the other side into the end plate casting space in a casting cope 11. The spiral grooves 13a of the shell mold 13 are for insertion of the member 12. The cope 11 is put on the drag 10 and a molten metal is poured through a sprue 15. The man-hour for finishing by machining is thus decreased and the strength of the scroll lap part 22 is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a thermal stress in the pipes by a method wherein spaces through which each of fluids flows are arranged adjacent to a confluent portion of both fluids flows and heat-exchanged between both fluids in a pipe coupling for use in confluence of fluids having different temperatures such as that in a reactor cooling member purifying system. CONSTITUTION:A plate 54 having a plurality of slits 58 is arranged in a direction crossing a main pipe 52 at an upstream side of a branch pipe 56 in a main pipe 52. The plate 54 is also made integral with a partition plate 60 extending from the branch pipe 56 to the downstream side at a lateral width side of the slits 58, and at the same time a substantial half part of the branch part 56 of the main pipe 52 is made to be a double cylindrical form to make a buffer 62, and the buffer is arranged. Interior of the buffer 62 is communicated with a second space 70 in which fluid at the branch side flows through distribution slits 66 formed in a semi-circular shielding plate 64. The second space 70 is defined by said partition plate 60 in such a way as it may be alternately arranged with the first space 68 through which the main pipe fluid flows, and the flow regulator plates 72 and 74 are arranged horizontally in each of the spaces 68 and 70.
