摘要： The present invention relates to a synthetic resin composition for obtaining a molded article which has a metallic appearance like the brilliance of Milky Way, and is used in OA instruments, AV instruments cameras, telephones, electric shavers, wheel caps for automobiles, vessels for cosmetics, and the like. The synthetic resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin, and as a metallic pigment, from 0.2 to 5 parts by weight of lustrous metal particles having an average particle diameter (maximum length) of from 50 to 800 .mu.m, and a ratio .sigma./x of a standard deviation of a particle diameter (.sigma.) to an average particle diameter (x) of 0.1 or less, or from 0.2 to 10 parts by weight of lustrous metal fine pieces having an average particle diameter of from 50 to 800.mu.m, and an average shape ratio (thickness/average particle diameter) of from 1/100 to 1/8. A molded article obtained from such a synthetic resin composition exhibits an excellent metallic appearance, has an extremely excellent weld appearance property, and can be used in a highgrade molded product which is complicated and is liable to cause a weld line or a flow pattern, such as chassis for OA instruments, chassis for AV instruments, exterior covers for cameras, wheel caps for automobiles, and the like, which have not been attained by the prior art.

摘要： A flame retardant plastic resin composition which, by virtue of addition of a very small amount of stabilized red phosphorus, can simultaneously realize improved heat resistance and chlorine-free and bromine-free flame retardation and, in addition, possesses long-term heat stability, reduced emission of foul odor, and other properties. The composition comprises (A) 50 to 95 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin, (B) 5 to 50 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester resin, and (C) 0.1 to 5 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight in total of the components (A) and (B), of a coated, stabilized red phosphorus. Preferably, it futher comprises (D) 0.1 to 100 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight in total of the components (A) and (B), of a silicate compound.

摘要： A flame-retardant resin composition comprising (A) a polyethylene terephthalate resin mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate units and produced by the use of a germanium compound as the catalyst, (B) a halogen-containing flame retardant, (C) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of epoxy compounds and carbodiimide compounds, and (D) an antimony compound; and another flame-retardant resin composition prepared by further adding thereto (E) a reinforcing filler, (F) at least one inorganic compound selected from the group consisting of silicate salts and silicic acid and/or (G) at least one crystallization accelerator. These compositions are excellent in flame retardance, mechanical strengths and resistance to moist heat. In particular, the latter composition containing a specific inorganic compound and/or a crystallization accelerator as additional components is excellent also in mold release characteristics to shorten the molding cycle time.

摘要： A polyethylene terephthalate resin composition comprising (A) 100 pts. by wt. of a polyethylene terephthalate resin prepared by polymerization using a germanium catalyst and containing at least 80 % of ethylene terephthalate repeating units and (B) 0.05 to 30 pts. by wt. of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of epoxy compounds each having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule and not containing any ester linkage therein and carbodiimide compounds; and another resin composition obtained by adding (C) a fibrous reinforcement, (D) a block copolymer and/or (E) an inorganic nucleating agent to the above resin composition. These resin compositions are excellent in the resistance to moist heat, flow properties, and mechanical strengths. In particular, the addition of the components (D) and (E) enables high-cycle molding even at low mold temperature and makes it possible to provide molded articles having excellent surface properties.
