摘要： The oxycutter follows a cutting path determined by an optical system which follows a model. This is performed by a TV camera with circular sweep of the beam. The optical pulses are converted into electrical control signals for the cutter. A TV camera with a circular sweep optically explores a line or edge such that the sweep point and a reference point appear at separate points on the circumference of a circle. The instantaneous difference between the two points is converted into electrical signals to control motors driving the cutter. The central point of the circle is kept on the line being explored.

摘要： A television camera tube, or similar device with spot scanning, is used as a scanning head for steering appts. along a prescribed line or edge, esp. a burner in flame cutting appts., using a circular scanning beam. Pref. a television camera tube uses a scanning beam deflected in a circle on which the scanning point is sepd. from a reference point; and the optical signals provide electrical pulses employed to control the burner movement. The axis of the deflected circle pref. remains on the line being scanned, e.g. on a drawing. The device is used e.g. where a metal part is being cut from a plate using optical scanning of an engineering drawing or master. The photocell normally employed in conventional appts. is replaced by the TV camera tube. This eliminates the inertia involved in the rotation of conventional scanner heads, so the usual time daley is avoided and higher scanning speeds are attainable, e.g. 12 m/min.

摘要： 1531383 Controlling burners ESAB-KEBE GmbH 17 March 1977 [20 March 1976] 11477/77 Heading F4T Apparatus for controlling the flow of fluid in a pipe 14, for example the supply of cutting oxygen to oxy-acetylene cutting burners 8, comprises an ON/OFF valve 24 in the pipe and at least two pipes 10, 12 connected in parallel with the valve 24 and containing respective ON/OFF valves 20, 22, the valves 20, 22, 24 being controlled by a timing device 34 and the flow sections of the pipes 10, 12, 14 being different. These different flow sections are provided by throttles 26, 28, preferably upstream of the valves 20, 22. The valves are electromagnetically operated. For carrying out hole punching the timing device 34 causes the valves 20, 22, 24 to be successively opened at predetermined intervals, giving three distinct supply rates. When all the valves are closed the downstream pressure is vented through a passage 36 provided in the valve 20.

摘要： Microprocessor, mounted on a flame cutting machine used to cut pipes or tubes, controls both the rotation of the pipe and the movement of the burner along a path parallel with the axis of the pipe. The microprocessor feeds control signals to the motors moving the burner and rotating the pipe. For producing a complex cut profile in a pipe, the geometric characteristics of the shape required are pref. fed into the microprocessor, which uses mathematical formulae to calculate the control signals fed to the motors. The characteristics are pref. the dias. of two pipes which will be made into a junction; the angle between the axes of the two pipes; and the eccentricity between the pipe axes. Provides automatic control of the burner path w.r.t. a pipe to obtain a complex profile. The geometric characteristics can be read off drawings and fed directly into coding switches on the microprocessor so time is saved.

摘要： Two burner unit for a flame cutting machine, fitted with a burner with a vertical axis, and an assembly of parallelogram levers employed to swivel a second burner from a vertical to an inclined position. Both burners are pref. fitted on a travelling slide fitted with two motors; one motor drives the slides, whereas the other motor actuates the swivel levers; and both motors are controlled by a computer. The burner unit is pref. surrounded by a collision screen suspended via. a vibration damper and fitted with a cam. If the screen hits an obstruction, e.g. a vertical web on the workpiece, the cam actuates a switch which stops the flame cutting machine. Edges can be cut where the angle of the cut edge follows a desired contour and is computer controlled.
