    • A system (8) for correcting undesirable yaw of a vehicle including a torque (or speed) converter (10) adapted to a conventional differential. The torque converter (10) includes an inner cam (18), retainer (21), and outer cam (27). A piston/clutch interface system (202,26) engages the torque converter (10) with the differential splitting and varying driving torque unequally between the left and right wheels when cornering or when tire slippage is sensed. A computer system (200) actuates a piston (202) instantaneously to an indication of a yaw moment to prevent the vehicle from reaching an unstable condition that could result in the vehicle going into an uncontrolled skid. A reaction force equivalent to the increased amount of torque is directed to the axle (104) as a braking force and varying the lateral distribution of driving torque between the two axles (104).
