An electric or hybrid rideable saddle vehicle (1 ), comprising: - a rechargeable battery (30); - an electric or hybrid traction motor (8) which can be supplied by the rechargeable battery (30) to deliver a drive torque; - a storage container (20) comprising a first housing seat (S1 ) which at least partially houses the rechargeable battery (30), wherein the rechargeable battery (30) is removably housed in the first housing seat (S1 ) so that the rechargeable battery (30) can be inserted into, and extracted from, the first housing seat (S1 ), the storage container (20) further comprising a locking device (60) adapted to lock the rechargeable battery (30) in the first housing seat (S1 ); - a rideable saddle (40) which can be moved between a closing configuration, in which the rideable saddle (40) prevents access to the storage container (20), and an opening configuration, in which the rideable saddle (40) allows access to the storage container (20), the storage container (20) being arranged below the rideable saddle (40); characterized in that: - the locking device (60) is adapted and configured to be moved to take an operating locking position and an operating releasing position; - the locking device (60) is retained in the operating locking position only by means of a thrust force applied by the rideable saddle (15) when the rideable saddle (40) takes the closing configuration.
