Provided is a method for machining a component, the method comprising: a first machining step in which a tool supported by a tool support part acts on a workpiece supported by a workpiece support part in a machining space covered by a cover body, thereby machining the workpiece while a necessary section is connected to an unnecessary section with a connection section therebetween; and a second machining step in which a door that partitions the machining space is opened to cause a workpiece conveyance mechanism to enter the machining space, and the connection section is cut and removed by the tool supported by the tool support part while at least the necessary section of the workpiece machined in the first machining step is supported by the workpiece conveyance mechanism.
