[Solution] An imaging device comprising: a plurality of pixels each having a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements for photoelectric conversion of incident light to generate an electric signal; a detection unit which outputs a detection signal when the absolute value of an amount of change in the electric signal in the pixels exceeds a predetermined threshold value; a signal processing unit which performs predetermined signal processing on the basis of the detection signal output from the detection unit; an AZ output unit which outputs an auto-zero signal for initializing the detection unit; a time code generator for outputting a time code varying at predetermined periods; a first holding circuit for holding the time code output from the time code generator when the auto-zero signal is output; a second holding circuit for holding the time code output from the time code generator when the detection signal is output; and a forwarding unit which forwards to a signal processing unit the time code held in the first holding circuit and the time code held in the second holding circuit in association with each other.
