A solar heating system (1) for heating a fluid. The solar heating system (1) includes: a chassis (17); at least one arm support (19) mounted on the chassis (17); an arm (21) pivotally attached to the at least one arm support (19), wherein the arm (21) is arranged to pivot relative to the at least one arm support (19) about a generally horizontal axis; a tubular receiver (5) mounted to the arm (21), the tubular receiver (5) having an internal cavity arranged to receive fluid; at least one lens array (3a,3b) mounted to the arm (21); a drive system (8) arranged to pivot the arm about the generally horizontal axis (X-X), and to adjust at least one of a position of the lens array (3a,3b) and an orientation of the lens array (3a,3b) with respect to the tubular receiver (5); and a control system (10) for controlling operation of the drive system (8).
