The invention relates to an aid, implemented by computer and video means, for refining sporting techniques, comprising the following steps: obtaining (S 1), from a system for photographing the body of a sportsman, images of relative movement of parts of the body relative to a selected benchmark which can advantageously be another part of the body; classifying (T4), in a database, the movements into at least two categories comprising, on the one hand, the movements that have made it possible to display an effective technique (S5) and, on the other hand, the movements that have not made it possible to display an effective technique (S6); processing (T7, T9, S8) the content of the database so as to define a restricted set of parameters (α, ω, γ) essential to displaying an effective technique, which makes it possible to define (S10) training instructions for the sportsmen simply from this restricted set of parameters.
