摘要：
Alkoxybenzamides represented by the general formula (3): (3) [wherein R1 to R5 are each H, alkyl, or alkoxy; R6 is an aromatic heterocyle; and A is O or S] are produced by reacting an alkoxybenzene represented by the general formula (1): (1) with an isocyanate represented by the general formula (2): (2) in the presence of a Lewis acid. Further, thiazolyl isocyanates of the general formula (5) included among the isocyanates of the general formula (2) are prepared from aminothiazoles and carbonyl halides: (5) [wherein R1 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, or the like; and R2 is H, halogeno, alkyl, or the like, with the proviso that the cases wherein both R1 and R2 are H are excepted]. The invention enables production of alkoxybenzamides in fewer steps in high yield and also provides thiazolyl isocyanates useful for the production of ureas, carbamates, and aromatic amides bearing thiazole rings.
