A tuner section (2, 3) and at least an electronic volume control (4) are formed in the form of a CMOS structure and integrated in one semiconductor chip (10). Since more of audio-related components can be integrated into one chip, the number of discrete components decreases, thus realizing a smaller and thinner television receiver. The tuner section (2, 3) and the electronic volume control (4) are integrated in the semiconductor chip (10), so that there is no need to design and manufacture the tuner section (2, 3) and the electronic volume control (4) separately.
