The invention relates to a chassis (3) that can be retrofitted to a front-wheel drive motor vehicle. The chassis (3) is provided with an axle arrangement (5, 17) and is linked to a motorized traction head (2) via a chassis connection (4) and reinforcements (8) of said chassis. The reinforcements (8) include an overlapping protruding shoulder (9) that rests upon a longitudinal beam (11) of the chassis (3) and is secured by means of several elements that are screwed into cupped forms. The shoulder (9) is guided in the preferably C-shaped longitudinal beam in a positive fit.
