The invention relates to a conveying device, especially a suspended conveying device, for transporting conveyed items along at least one conveying section (2). The conveying device comprises a carrying profile assembly (4) which extends along the conveying section and which has a runner rail assembly (6) for guiding conveyed item carriers (8). The invention provides that at least one runner rail (6) of the runner rail assembly is constructed as a runner rail component which is separate with regard to the carrier profile assembly (4). The runner rail component is mounted on the carrier profile assembly in a floating manner so that, at least in areas, it can carry out a compensation for the change in length by moving in relation to the carrying profile assembly.
