The invention concerns an electrical plug-in connector between a steering wheel and the connection to a cover (1) of a volute spring housing. The object of the invention is to design the plug-in connector such that the plug can move inside the housing yet permanent contact is still ensured between the plug and housing. To that end, the invention provides an intermediate part (3) which can move in a housing (2) and can be securely locked with the plug, the intermediate part in turn also being movable inside the housing. Advantageous developments of the invention describe measures for proceeding in steps, first to provide reliable contact between the plug and intermediate part, and then to permit movability of this plug-in unit inside the housing.
