摘要：
A microcapsule containing a magnetic fluid that can be mixed in or adhesively attached to building materials to effectively absorb or insulate noise. A thermally expanding microcapsule of this invention has a shell made of a thermoplastic resin and contains a magnetic fluid and a hydrophobic liquid foaming agent. The magnetic fluid is a hydrophobic organic solvent containing scattered magnetic fine particles with an average diameter of 5-200 nm. A hollow microcapsule of this invention has a shell made of a thermoplastic resin and contains therein a magnetic fluid and a hollow cell, the magnetic fluid being a hydrophobic organic solvent containing scattered magnetic fine particles with an average diameter of 5-200 nm. Further, a paint of this invention is mixed with these noise absorbing microcapsules.
