Method and apparatus for applying tactilely sensible indicia on articles is disclosed. Articles may be marked with glue droplets (136) from a glue spit gun (122). Alternatively, labels (82) may be embossed or marked with glue droplets (136) and then applied to articles. The labels (82) may come from a continuous roll (92) of stock (90) and then cut into discrete labels (82) while the labels (82) are concurrently being marked with the tactilely sensible indicia.
