This invention relates to a method and a device for soil consolidation, where a consolidating additive is brought into the earth, said additive being mixed with the soil in order to form a consolidated zone. Said additive is introduced into the earth (2) in connection with a processor (3) moving forwards essentially in the horizontal direction, so that a consolidated vein structure extending essentially in the horizontal direction is formed in the wake (4) left behind in the earth (2) by said processor (3). The device comprises a pulling share (11) penetrating into the earth and moving in an essentially horizontal direction, and at the lower end of said pulling share there is a movable softening device or processor (3) for forming a processed wake (4) in the earth. Further there are means for feeding said consolidating additive into the vicinity of said processor (3), for forming a vein-like zone (8, 8a) of the mixture of the soil and said consolidating additive.
