This invention provides an apparatus and method for continuous synthesis of carbon film or inorganic material film. The apparatus include an external chamber, a substrate transporting apparatus, a temperature controller, a ventilation system, and an air source controller. The external chamber comprises an air entering gate, a ventilation gate, and it contains a pre-dealing chamber, a first buffer zone, a manufacturing chamber, a second buffer zone, a cooling chamber, and the temperature controller. The pre-dealing chamber connects with the manufacturing chamber via the first buffer zone, and manufacturing chamber connects with cooling chamber via the second buffer zone. Finally, this invention is able to form a continuous carbon film or inorganic material film on a substrate through plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition and a roll to roll conveyer belt transporting system at low temperature.
