The disk drive has a plurality of pre-amplifier connected to the SOC by a common transmission line having a resistor between the pre-amplifier (pre-amplifier) and the system-on-chip (SOC). Each of the preamplifier is a recording of the resistor at the input of a read resistor, and each write driver at the output of each read amplifier. Resistors may be a programmable resistor positioned in the pre-amplifier. Read resistor is at the signal source on the transmission line, the terminating resistor may record the signal from the transmission line. If one of the pre-amplifier is selected as active, a read resistor and recording resistor provides impedance matching to the transmission line and the SOC, which enables the SOC is to uniformly operate with a common transmission line coupled to all pre-amplifier.
