The present invention relates generally to the recursive reflecting sheet (retroreflective sheeting) and a method of producing such a sheet comprises a top coat (topcoat). In some embodiments, the recursive reflecting sheet has (1) a structured surface of the first main surface having the structures given by the plurality of prismatic cube corner elements; (2) and on the other side of the first main surface, a substantially planar second major surface comprising a polycarbonate; And (3) close to at least a portion of the second main surface, and a top coat comprising a solvent-based composition.
