摘要：
PURPOSE: A device and method for assembling a retainer are provided to completely prevent a valve stem from burrowing into cotter pieces as engagement portions of the cotter pieces are separated. CONSTITUTION: A retainer assembly device comprises a body(11), a support unit(152), a pushing up shaft(31), and an axial body. A retainer is in contact with the lower part of the body, and a valve stem moves into the lower part. The body comprises a taper inner part in which the diameter is gradually larger. The support unit supports the retainer in contact with the lower part of the body. The pushing-up shaft moves into the lower part of the retainer, and pushes up a pair of cotter pieces into the body. The axial body is installed in the body coaxially to the pushing-up shaft.
