The present invention relates to a concentrate burner for feeding reaction gas and the powder solid matter in the method of controlling the heat balance of the reaction shaft of a suspension smelting, and in the reaction shaft of the suspension smelting. Concentrate burner (4) is heat absorbing material to form a part of the mixture which is formed from a reaction gas 5 discharged from the powdery solid material (6) and the annular discharge orifice 14 to be discharged from the supply pipe orifice (8) and a coolant supply device (15) for adding (16).
