PURPOSE: A sterilizer of a vacuum cleaner for bedding is provided to safely sterilize a suction nozzle unit of a cleaner by detecting the mount of an ultraviolet generator and controlling the operation of the ultraviolet generator. CONSTITUTION: A sterilizer of a vacuum cleaner for bedding comprises a cleaner(100), a station(200), a detecting unit, and an ultraviolet generator. The cleaner has a suction nozzle unit for drawing in foreign materials from an object to be cleaned. The station has a holder in which the suction nozzle unit is mounted. The detecting unit senses the mount of the suction nozzle unit. The ultraviolet generator sterilizes the suction nozzle unit mounted on the holder. The ultraviolet generator is operated after the detecting unit senses the suction nozzle unit.
