In the present invention, from the sample discharge integrin with thrombospondin type 1 motif, 13 - is presented a method for purifying the like and metal protease (ADAMTS13) recombinant protein. The method by contacting the sample with the HA and the chromatographic conditions under which the ADAMTS13 protein to appear in the effluent or supernatant from hydroxyapatite comprising thickening the ADAMTS13 protein. The method may further comprise a tandem chromatography with a mixed form cation-exchange / hydrophobic interaction resin to bind to ADAMTS13 protein. Additional optional steps of ultrafiltration is followed by a / diafiltration, anion exchange chromatography, cation exchange chromatography, and the virus inactivation. Further, in the present invention it is provided a method of disabling the viral protein contaminants in a sample, wherein said protein is immobilized on a support. Further, in the present invention it is presented the composition of ADAMTS13 prepared according to these methods.
