PURPOSE: A meta material transmission line unit and manufacturing method thereof are provided to suppress influences at a high frequency. CONSTITUTION: A ground surface is formed on the bottom of a substrate. A signal line(600) is formed on the substrate. A defective ground structure unit includes an etching area(630) and two metal areas(635). A ground via(620) is formed from the signal line to the ground surface.
