PURPOSE: A photoactive compound and a photosensitive resin composition containing the same are provided to ensure desired sensitivity with small amount of the composition. CONSTITUTION: A photoactive compound is denoted by the chemical formula 1. A photosensitive resin composition contains the photoactive compound, alkali soluble binder resin, polymerizable compound and solvent. The polymerizable compound has ethylene unsaturated binding. The alkali soluble binder resin has 30-300 KOH mg/g of acidic value, 1,000-200,000 of average molecular weight.
