PURPOSE: A thruster mounting method of a semi-submergence rig is provided to prevent the damage since elements mounted at the top structure of a thruster crashes with a strand when the thruster is pulled. CONSTITUTION: A thruster mounting method of a semi-submergence rig comprises followings. A plurality of strand jacks(20a,20b,20c) is mounted at the top of a thruster room. Strands(21a,21b,21c) of the strand jacks pass through the thruster room. A rope of a crane is connected on the top of a thruster. The thruster is dipped into the water by operating the crane. The each strand of the strand jacks is connected to the top of the thruster. The rope is unwound from the crane. The strand jacks precisely controls each strand up and down. The strands pull the thruster to the traverse side from the top side by precisely controlling each strand up and down.
