摘要：
A composition comprising the extract of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch is provided to inhibit the oxidative damage of nerve cell by oxidative stress, protect nerve cell and suppress apoptosis, thereby preventing and treating the degenerative brain disease. The composition for preventing and treating the degenerative brain diseases including cerebral apoplexy, acute lateral sclerosis(ALS), senile dementia, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease comprises the extract of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch which is prepared by extracting Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch with water, methanol or ethanol.
