The trans -1,3,3,3- tetrafluoro-propene (HFO-1234ze (E)) and water azeotrope and azeotropic compositions are provided. These azeotropic and azeotropic compositions are useful for the separation of propene from the impurities during the manufacturing trans -1,3,3,3- tetrafluoroborate. Azeotropic water of the present invention is useful similarly to the final composition or preparation of the final composition, including a blowing agent, propeller parent, refrigerant, gaseous diluent for sterilization.
