A system and method that the mobile station allowed to transmit the location server (location server) function outer region directed (area shape capability indication) to be provided. Therefore the use case scenario, the location server can perform at least one of the following operations, before sending the area event request to the mobile station. The location server permitted by the requesting entity and may select the both outer shape supported by the terminal. If the alternative, not the requested outline (s) supported by the terminal, the location server can be converted by some approximation function (function approximation) the outer shape which supports the requested appearance. In addition, the location server can choose to support it unless the terminal is any of the above (allowed) requested outer terminating the session. It must be noted that different priorities can be assigned to or associated with various area outline.
