An inverter which controls an induction motor for driving an electric vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a current providing part which provides a first axis current and a second axis current to the induction motor; an rpm measuring part which measures the revolutions per minute of the induction motor; and a control part which changes the second axis current according to the measured revolutions per minute.
