The propulsion apparatus for a vessel is disclosed. The propulsion apparatus for a vessel according to the present embodiment is in the marine propulsion device having a front and rear propellers which rotate in opposite directions to a drive shaft, which enters from the outer hull to hull aft (stern boss) partitioned to the external installation space installed in such a way and the outer surface being supported on an inner peripheral surface of the installation space, and the reverse rotation device for inverting the rotation of the drive shaft passes in any of the front and rear propellers, the vibration generated in the drive shaft to be reduced from being transmitted to the reverse rotation device and a vibration damping device mounted on the drive shaft within the hull adjacent to the installation space.
