A fabric type window shade and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent transparent layers and opaque layers of the window shade from being disconnected, thereby using the window shade semi-permanently, by forming the transparent layers and the opaque layers in one body. A fabric is manufactured by weaving an upper transparent layer, a lower transparent layer, and a plurality of opaque layers between the upper transparent layer and the lower transparent layer. Each of the opaque layers has one end connected to the upper transparent layer and the other end connected to the lower transparent layer. An LM(Low Melting point) yarn is used for the weft of the opaque layer. The fabric is thermally heated at 150-190°C. A side portion of the fabric and warp are cut. The fabric is sheared and rolled.
