マスタバッテリやスレーブバッテリの蓄電量が各所定値以下になる蓄電量条件が成立する前は車速V1を間欠運転禁止車速Vprとして設定し(S130)、蓄電量条件が成立した以降は車速V1より低い車速V2を間欠運転禁止車速Vprとして設定し(S140)、車速Vが間欠運転禁止車速Vprより低いときに(S150)、蓄電量条件が成立する前はモータから入出力される動力だけを用いて走行する電動走行を優先して走行するようエンジンとモータとを制御し(S190〜S350)、蓄電量条件が成立した以降は要求パワーPe*に基づいてエンジンの間欠運転を伴って走行するようエンジンとモータとを制御する(S210〜S350)。
