NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is H or 1-5C alkyl; m is 1 or 2; n is 2-5). EXAMPLE:N-(beta-hydroxyethyl)-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-2,4-pentadienoic acid amide nitric acid ester. USE:A vasodilator for the remedy of coronary vessel disorder, cerebral vessel disorder and peripheral vessel disorder, etc., to which increase of blood flow rate is effective. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting 5-(3,4,5- trimethoxyphenyl)-2,4-pentadienoic acid thiazolidinethionamide with the compound of formula II.
