PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain cutlery which substantially prevents the occurrence of dulling and blade chipping, in the edge parts of blades, such as side trimmers, used for a rolling stage and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: Powder of a high-speed steel is packed into a space having a sectional shape profiling the external shape of the blade in a capsule. A core material is disposed along the central axis and the capsule is hermetically closed. A molding 40 having a hollow part 42 is molded by a hot isostatic press device. This molding is sliced to form thin moldings 44. The surfaces thereof are finished by polishing to a final dimension and the moldings are subjected to working to form key grooves 46 in the hollow parts 42 and plural holes 48 for insertion of bolts at main bodies 45. The blade 50 which has a circular edge 49 for shearing on its outer peripheral surface and is used for the side trimmer, etc., having high strength, toughness, impact resistance, etc., is thus obtd. Further, this blade 50 is subjected to heat treatments, such as hardening and tempering, by which the strength and toughness thereof are additionally enhanced.
