PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to appropriately determine the wound wire shape of a flat surface type gradient magnetic field generating coil, to be applied to an open type MRI magnet, which generates a high linear gradient magnet field, by a method wherein a plurality of magnetic field setting points are set in the vicinity of the surface of a specified spherical region, and undetermined constants are calculated by using the coordinates of the magnetic field setting points.
