PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To project light to a ceiling and light up a specified floor surface at need by using a device such as a ball joint and an arm so as to incline a part of a luminaire. SOLUTION: This multifunction lighting stand has a ball joint 6 at the center in the height direction of a support 5 so that the lighting stand can be bent at a part of the ball joint 6. The bent support 5 is fixed at the angle of bend by a fixing screw 7. When an upper support 5b is inclined one side by the ball joint 6, a fluorescent lamp 8 of the upper support 5b obliquely projects the light upward and downward. Namely, the multifunction lighting stand 1 in this condition can light up the ceiling with the light obliquely projected upward, and it can light up a part of a floor surface with the light obliquely projected downward. With this lighting stand, construction of ceiling and construction of floor surface, which needs the fine accuracy, and a specified floor surface of an event place can be lighted bright.
