PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the uniformity of behavior in respect to the traction- and braking performance of a tire even where a vehicle travels on a snowy road, and particularly when the vehicle travels on the snowy road, by forming circumferential grooves which are stretch parts diagonally directed to the circumferential direction of the tire, and which have the forms of the stretch parts symmetrically converging in the equatorial plane toward the opposite direction to the converging direction of cross-grooves. SOLUTION: A tread pattern of a winter-tire for automobiles is provided with cross-grooves 2 symmetrically converging in the equatorial plane X, and a pair of circumferential grooves 3 partitioned off by slant stretch parts 3a having the direction converging in the equatorial plane X toward the opposite direction to the rotating direction D in which the cross-grooves 2 are converged. Grip-hollow parts 6, the widths of which are widened in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of tire, are formed at the positions where adjacent central blocks 4 extend across the cross-grooves 2. A partion-wall arranged so that central separating slitting parts 7 between the central blocks can be brought into contact with each other in the lower part of the ground contact area, is confined in the inside.
