PURPOSE:To provide a coating composition which can give a precoated steel sheet having high processability and resisting to the formation of pressure marks during processing and storage. CONSTITUTION:This composition comprises 40-90wt.% film-forming organic resin, 1-20wt.% inorganic aggregate having a mean particle diameter of 2-10mum and 1-5wt.% (in terms of the solid matter) lubricant. The film-forming organic resin comprises a polyester resin having a glass transition temperature of 40-65 deg.C, a functionality of 2-2.2 and a number-average molecular weight of 15000-30000 and a melamine resin or an isocyanate resin as a cross-linking resin therefore. The inorganic aggregate is a mineral powder having a Mohs hardness of 5 or above. The lubricant is a polyethylene wax, a silicone or a fluorolubricant having a melting point of 130 deg.C or below.
