摘要：
PURPOSE:To obtain a cycloalkanol in an industrially advantageous way by hydration of a cycloalkene in the presence of a specifically treated ion exchange- type lamellar substance. CONSTITUTION:The cycloalkanol is obtained by hydration of a cycloalkene in the presence of an ion exchange-type lamellar substance treated with at least one kind of metal compound selected from those of Al, Si, Ti and Zr. The lamellar substance can be obtained by contact treatment of the original substance with at least one kind of metal compound selected from those of Al, Si, Ti and Zr in a liquid phase (esp. pref. in the presence of a nitrogen-contg. compound) followed by baking. The ion exchange-type lamellar substance is pref. smectite, kaolinite or vermiculite.
