PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence of bending through improvement of rigidity of the leg part of a frame and to suppress the generation of an excessive compression load on a seal member by coupling the tip of the leg part of the frame through a reinforcing plate. CONSTITUTION:A fixed scroll 1 is pressed against a revolving scroll by means of a back pressure based on a delivery gas pressure and leakage of gas from a closed space is suppressed. When liquid is sucked in a closed pace 24, the fixed scroll 1 is levitated through a support spring 32 and the gas is escaped to prevent the occurrence of breakage of a compressor. In this case, an annular reinforcing plate 91A formed of a plate and having sufficient rigidity is fastened against a leg 6b by means of a bolt 37 with the support spring 32 nipped therebetween. The part, passing a position above a flange 14, of the fixed scroll 1 is formed in a levitating shape. The support spring 32 is supported to the leg 6b of the frame 6 fixed to a closed housing 8 and the fixed scroll 1 is supported in a levitating state by the support spring 32.
