PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method for spontaneous pain of a chronic pain model animal, and a screening method for chronic pain therapeutic or preventive agents.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a spontaneous pain measurement method comprising a step of measurements with a device comprising means that detects a magnetic field change according to repetitive actions of a model animal. This invention also relates to a screening method for therapeutic or preventive agents comprising a step of measurements of the number of repetitive actions of a model animal using the method, and selection of a test substance with a reduced number of the repeat actions.
