PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method which makes it possible to produce a stabilizer-half in a load-optimized and inexpensive manner.SOLUTION: A method for producing a motor vehicle stabilizer 5 with a stabilizer bar 4 formed as a hollow tubular material includes the steps: providing a steel strip 1 made of a high-manganese-content steel alloy having twinning-induced plasticity and/or transformation induced plasticity properties; forming a tubular material 2 from the steel strip 1; welding the tubular material 2 longitudinally; and bending the stabilizer bar 4.
