PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment apparatus which improves removal efficiency of harmful substances and is miniaturized.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas treatment apparatus (10), which brings gas into contact with liquid to absorb the gas, includes: an absorption tower body (11) which is formed with an internal space; a spray device (12) which sprays liquid in a predetermined region in a vertical direction of the internal space; and a gas supply device (13) which introduces gas into the absorption tower body (11). The spray device (12) is configured to include: a main pipe (12b) which extends over a predetermined region in the vertical direction of the internal space; branch pipes (12c) which are connected to the main pipe (12b) and extend toward an inner wall of the absorption tower body (11); and spray nozzles (12d) which spray liquid supplied from the branch pipes (12c). The spray nozzle (12d) is mounted so that an angle between a longitudinal direction of the branch pipe (12c) and a center line of an injection region of the spray nozzle (12d) is an acute angle.
