PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverted microscope allowing a plurality of optical devices to be disposed between an objective lens and an imaging lens, which detachably facilitates an attachment of an arbitrary optical device without changing a specification of a microscope main body, and can obtain necessary and sufficient optical performance in accordance with an attachment position of the optical device or the number of attachments thereof.SOLUTION: The inverted microscope comprises: an imaging lens 11b that images light passing through an objective lens 3 via a specimen 1; and a microscope main body 10 that includes a plurality of attachment parts 13 allowing a plurality of optical path branching and changing-over devices 20 to be disposed side by side in an optical axis of the objective lens 3 between the objective lens 3 and the imaging lens 11b and to be independently fixed. Each of the attachment parts 13 includes an edge surface 133 to which any of the plurality of optical path branching and changing-over devices 20 is attached, and a plurality of edge surfaces 133 respectively owned by the plurality of attachment parts 13 are mutually shifted in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis La of the objective lens 3.
